Salute to Seuss – Jennifer Wagner salutes to Dr. Seuss.

I like Dr. Seuss books and I frequently read and recommend them to my students. This wiki is a creative example of ways to celebrate Dr. Seuss. It was a collaborative project across the nation, Canada, and New Zealand. A list of 18 possible activities was provided to celebrate Dr. Seuss. Check out some of the projects in honor of Dr. Seuss.

Take a look at the Student Gallery – there’s too many to describe – See for yourself. I haven’t looked at all of them yet. My favorites so far: 1) French Creek 5th Graders Honor Dr. Seuss, an elementary school in Pottstown, PA. Students wrote descriptive paragraphs of imaginary animals. I guess I like imaginary animals as seen in Jacob’s “Howl” & Cody’s “Penglahoot”. 2) In "Salute to Seuss", second and fourth grade students in Mifflin County School District, Pennsylvania created book reviews, see Emily's , Dalton's, and Christopher's book reviews. 3) Lastly, see the wiki "Room 9 Nelson Central's Blog 2007". Students in Nelson, New Zealand created audio clips that began “I am the Lorax and I speak for the …”
