Thing #11 Photosharing with Flickr

I am a photo flickring fanatic. I found Flickr to be very easy to understand & follow, creative, dynamic, and FUN. I LOVED the “Flickr Color Pickr". Flickr photos can be found in every color of the spectrum. Photos are sorted first by color then by topics such as: macros, textures, graffiti, and even doors & windows.

In the "Big Huge Labs” I found Motivational posters. To name a few ideas, this can be used for creating an environment of cooperation & teamwork. Students can also use this site for vocabulary or just personal fun.

I chose “planets and the solar system” as a theme for my research.

Mosaic Makers” was perfect for an interesting layout and display of planets & the solar system. It was as easy as clicking photos as my favorites, going to the site, and following simple steps.

Fast and easy!

1. solar-view, 2. Mercury from Messenger Oct 08, 3. Venus, 4. Blue Marble (Planet Earth), 5. Planet Mars, 6. Lulin in full colour; closest to Earth, 7. Star Formation Factory (NASA, Chandra, 12/18/06), 8. Milky Way Galaxy (Robert Hurt, SSC/JPL/Caltech)), 9. Galaxy Collision Switches on Black Hole (NASA, Chandra, 12/10/09), 10. Juno Mission to Jupiter (Artist's Concept), 11. saturn, 12. Uranus, 13. Neptune Full Disk View

These were just my favorites for the day. I can’t wait to have extra time to really delve into ALL of the possibilities.

FLICKR ROCKS!

I absolutely LOOOOVE the excellence picture not only because it is purple (my favorite color) but also because it is very inspirational. I think I will search for this one as well so that it can be on the homepage on my wiki

I found the picture on flickr. In Big Huge Labs, I used the program "motivational poster" to create this. You can have it say anything you choose.

If you like purple, be sure and check out the flckr color pickr.
